South West Music School is delighted to present an exciting orchestral opportunity for our older students (orchestral musicians Grade 6+)

South West Youth Orchestra is an exciting and forward-thinking new youth orchestra, designed to equip the region’s most talented young musicians with the skills they need to build a positive future with music.

SWYO musicians will be guided through an intensive 3-day residential course by a passional team of professional orchestral musicians who have a walrth of real work experience.

Dates: Monday 15th – Wednesday 17th August 2022 (including a final performance on 19th August)

Venue: Millfield School, Butleigh Road, Street, BA16 0YD

This course is aimed at higher intermediate and advanced orchestral players (Grade 6+). Current SWMS students (Grade 6+ and aged 13yrs+) and recent alumni (last two years) will be offered fully funded places and won’t be required to audition.
Make sure you complete your application form asap to reserve your place.

Older alumni (up to 23 yrs) and non-SWMS students aged 13–23yrs will be eligible to audition and will be asked to make a contribution towards costs (£175 per person).
