Matthew Jackson

Matthew is a freelance music director, arranger and copyist working primarily in musical theatre. His most recent project is The Great British Bake Off Musical at the Noel Coward theatre in London’s West End, where he works as associate music director and associate orchestrator. Recent projects include: Sylvia (Old Vic), Standing At The Sky’s Edge (Sheffield Crucible, National Theatre), Tammy Faye (Almeida), Mrs Doubtfire (keys programming) (Shaftsbury), A Kiss for Cinderella (NYMT), Jesus Christ Superstar (LAMDA) and She Loves Me (Sheffield Crucible). Alongside this, he works extensively as a freelance pianist/keyboardist, is a music and singing teacher at LAMDA and music director with Vocal Balance.

Matthew trained at The University of Oxford, where he attained a BA in Music (1st class) and the Royal Academy of Music (MA in music direction and coaching (Dist.)).
