feeder scheme
Applications are currently closed for South West Music School. They will open in February 2012. If you would like to be kept up to date please sign up for our newsletter on the left hand side of the page.
For performing musicians, if successful at audition, the first year with South West Music School will be as part of the Feeder Scheme. This is a year-long programme of 6 workshops spread across the year and the region covering topics such as improvisation, performance practise, listening & rhythm and performance health. These sessions will also provide mentor advice on what other opportunities are available, contacts for teachers/workshop leaders and support for practise.
During the year, Feeder Scheme Students will be assessed and monitored on their musical development, contribution and engagement.
Numbers selected onto the Core Programme are determined by the number of students graduating or moving-on to other specialist music providers at the end of the learning year and through an audition.
