A leading figure in guitar music today and one of its most influential champions, Tom Kerstens is a versatile performer on both modern and period guitars (a Torres copy). This varied and exciting programme includes music from his latest, highly applauded CDs: ‘GOYA, the music of Enrique Granados’ and ‘¡Danza! – miniatures past and present’ and builds on the critical acclaim for his six previous recordings. It also includes a modern classic ‘Standing Wave’, written and dedicated to him by Joby Talbot, one of the UK’s foremost young composers.
