PIANO. The main aim is to build new skills and consolidate old ones in both technical and musical aspects of piano playing; to achieve this, student will ring-fence a regular practice time, and lessons have been increased from 30 minutes to an hour weekly, with some input from other master-class sessions. SINGING. Take Grade 8 Music Theatre and then move more towards a more Classical style. GUITAR. Take Grade 8 in December 2009 and then to let guitar have a lower profile. JAZZ PIANO. To undertake a course of Jazz Piano lessons with a view to building a stronger chordal feel, and to prepare for playing in a Trio. COMPOSITION. To undertake some supervised sessions, to help put flesh on the bones of compositional ideas. Meanwhile to continue to listen to and explore a range of musical styles, with some emphasis on contemporary music. |
