mentoring
Each successful candidate will be assigned a mentor. This will be a musician / arts professional currently working in the business with knowledge of the student’s specific area of expertise (though not necessarily the same instrument.)
Mentors will work through the student’s musical knowledge and experience and explore their strengths and areas of development. From this the mentor and student will create and agree a personal Individual Learning Plan (ILP). The ILP will clearly set out objectives and goals for the year ahead.
Mentoring sessions occur during the year to update on progress and work on specific topics. These will be arranged between the student and mentor around the student’s timetable and lifestyle.
We have recently had the fantastic opportunity of recording a CD in a professional recording studio working with an experienced recording engineer. The experience of working in such a professional way was fantastic.
