Jen Townsend - Finance Officer

Jen is a Devonian and lives near Crediton. After secondary school at Bishops Blackall Grammar School for Girls in Exeter and A levels at Exeter College she commenced her chartered accountancy training contract with Hays Allan in Exeter. Rising through the ranks to portfolio manager Jen decided to branch out into business and went to work for a local Land Surveyors before becoming involved in the non profit making/charitable sector.

Jen is married with two daughters, one now married herself and working as an accountant locally and the other at Exeter University in Falmouth studying law.

Having not attended university before commencing her working life Jen decided to embark on a Mathematics degree with the Open University and graduated in 2007 with a 2:1 Honours in Mathematical Sciences.

Jen works part time in accountancy and also runs a small-holding with horses, pedigree Dartmoor sheep and occasionally some pigs. She is also an active member of Copplestone Methodist Church.
