Graduates' Showcase 2011

On Monday September 5^th 2011, nine of the 2011 South West Music School Graduates took to the stage at Studio 1, Dartington Hall for the annual Graduates Showcase, as part of the Totnes Festival 2011.

James Aldridge, Ellie Best, Ben Comeau, Ruth Knight, Josh Rose, Martin Skews, Joel Stedman, Henry Tozer and Ben Weedon performed a fabulous programme to a packed venue, including SWMS students past and present.

With a combination of classic repertoire, new compositions from upcoming albums and old favourites from their time at SWMS, the Graduates really brought the house down. Sensitively accompanied by Peter Hurst, some students performed their audition pieces for SWMS, when they began their journeys. Others brought musical back-up, in the form of Alfie Weedon (a current SWMS student), Harry Bosworth and Adam Shore.

Collectively they showcased publically commended compositions, award-winning musicianship and performances, and exclusive tracks from past, present and future albums. The performers really shone, and demonstrated how much they had developed during their time at South West Music School. We wish them a fond farewell and the very best for their future careers.  Watch this space!
