2010/11 Masterclasses

During the 2010/11 learning year, South West Music School students had the opportunity to learn with various professional musicians.  From guitarist Guthrie Govan to brass specialist Paul Denegri and percussionists Andy Martin and Graham Instral to string specialist Tim Boulton.

One SWMS student said: The masterclass with Guthrie was incredible.  It was such an honour to be in the room with a guy who is actually out there and doing it!  I had such an amazing day and have made an invaluable contact in the music world.

Another said: Tim Boulton is so inspiring.  He lives and breathes the viola and just makes me want to improve each and every day.

These masterclasses are arranged through consultation with the students and their mentors through the submission of the Individual Learning Plan (ILP).
