Max Glazer

Max Glazer’s passion for music and performance emerged at school through the piano and trombone, where he quickly established a musical reputation through frequent concert appearances. He regularly participated in the Springboard Music Festival as a pianist, winning the Senior Championship in ‘03, and also performed piano concertos as soloist with the Brighton Youth Orchestra and his school orchestra, on both occasions performing on tours in Europe. He played the trombone in the BYO between ’94 and ’03.

At the University of Bristol, Max got involved straight away with a number of orchestras and ensembles run by the award-winning Music Society, which he ran as president in ’05 to ’06. In ’02, he attended Dartington International Summer School as steward for the first time, and since then he has returned many times in various volunteering roles.

Following graduation, Max worked for a year as front-of-house manager at St George’s Bristol, before entering training as a chartered accountant in September ‘07. Prior to qualifying and moving to London in September ’10, he played Trombone with the Top Cat Big Band and sang with the Riff Raff Community Choir, and he is currently enjoying building a new (and exam-free) musical life in the capital!
