Stephen Yates

Stephen Yates began playing the guitar at the age of thirteen after hearing a recording of Andres Segovia on the radio. He has gone on to become a prize winning classical guitarist and has won ‘Guitarist’ magazine’s ‘Guitarist of the Year’. He also has extensive experience of rock guitar, having performed professionally all over the world. He currently resides in west Devon and divides his time between performing and teaching. His highly individual approach to teaching is designed to bring out abilities in students that they never knew they had.
