David Kenyon
David has performed music in many styles since learning the clarinet and saxophone at the age of 8. After lots of youth music in and around Manchester he joined the Band of the Royal Artillery as a Junior Musician. Since this time he has worked mainly in Education, however, he worked in the commercial music sector for a number of years in the heady days of the 60’s and 70’s with superstars such as Al Green and Englebert. Working within education in Brixton, Norfolk, Staffordshire, Merseyside and finally Dorset David has led school music and local authority music in a number of settings.
Whilst running music services David has endeavoured to provide exciting projects for young musicians including a number of mass events at the Royal Albert Hall. David also took a South West Youth Orchestra group to Colombia with the British Council having formed the orchestra prior to this event.
David works in education and performance settings providing music and general arts projects to those wishing to change their lives through music- which David is good at!
David has studied at a variety of higher institutions including the Royal Academy of Music, London University and more recently gained an MBA from a local university.
