Cecil du Valle
Cecil Du Valle Mmu, Bmu Ed, has worked in the United States and England as a performer, composer and educator. He has lectured on electronic music composition, modern harmony, music business and piano pedagogy in the United States at Brookdale College, Monmouth University and Teen Arts Festivals at Rutgers University. After completing his first teaching position as department head of music at a Philadelphia high school, Cecil toured and worked as a session musician for 10 years with artists from the Sound of Philadelphia record label. Before moving to Cornwall, Cecil was involved with making television commercials and radio jingles in New York. Cecil is currently lecturing in music at Cornwall College where he is conductor of the Cornwall College Big Band. He is presently completing a Masters Degree in Music Therapy at the University of the West of England and is hoping to work in the South West practicing Community Music Therapy.
