Anna Roberts
Anna Roberts studied music at the University of Manchester and at the Royal Northern College of Music where she was taught by the distinguished pianist and conductor, George Hadjinikos. Anna subsequently travelled to Iceland where she helped to develop music schools in two remote villages on the North East coast, later moving to Reykjavik where she became established as a pianist and teacher. On her return to England, Anna resumed her career in Shropshire, teaching at Shrewsbury School, where she met her husband, Stewart. A sojourn in Pakistan was followed by a move to Wiltshire where her husband is Headmaster of Dauntsey’s School. Now with two teenage children, Anna enjoys teaching at Dauntsey’s, whilst continuing to appear regularly on the concert platform. Anna much enjoys accompanying and chamber music, but has also appeared as a soloist, recent engagements having included the Grieg and Schumann Piano Concertos, Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto and Mozart’s Piano concerto K503 with the North Wiltshire Orchestra and the Trowbridge Symphony Orchestra.
